Nike

XYZ required expertise in mass participation for their Nike Milers event, our delivery team provided consultation and staff on the ground in this truly unique one mile event in an underground car park.

America’s Cup World Series

massive worked with Team Origin on the America’s Cup World Series Portsmouth, managing all sponsors and exhibitors from contract signing through to on-the-ground production, working closely with all event suppliers and the event’s commercial team.

In addition the massive delivery team developed and executed the events accreditation system for more than 1,500 staff & contractors.

Rugby World Cup 2015

massive were contracted by Bright Partnerships Worldwide to manage the production and logistics of the DHL hospitality boxes at the Rugby World Cup 2015.

Our dedicated delivery team managed the scheduling, CAD planning, warehousing, logistics, health and safety, bump in and bump out of 13 venues across the UK.

adidas

We partnered with Drive Productions to deliver ‘The Energy Takeover’ in April 2015. managing the route logistics over three 10km routes, we worked alongside Drive to create a running event with a twist, ensuring a unique participant experience.

Prudential Ride London

We provided full project management and delivery of the 2013 FreeCycle event, in 2014 we innovated and delivered all entertainment and festival activation and in 2015 our delivery team provided production management for the start of the RideLondon100.

Breast Cancer Campaign

We supported the new fundraising director to deliver and implement a new fundraising strategy for the organisation which delivered a 20% increase in income in it’s first year, we then led on fundraising integration as the charity merged with Breakthrough Breast Cancer to form Breast Cancer Now.

NSPCC

Working with Ride2Raise we deliver the event logistics for the Tour of England cycle series in 2014 & 2015. We managed all route logistics, checkpoints, branding, stakeholder engagement and health & safety.

Asda

We worked with Asda and the charities supported by the Tickled Pink foundation to develop 2 new mass fundraising concepts to bring Asda customers closer to the work of the foundation and drive a significant uplift in fundraising income.

Adnams

For its first year as Official Beer Partner of The Boat Races, Southwold-based brewery Adnams enlisted the experience of  massive to deliver an impressive fan park on the banks of the River Thames.

Attended by thousands of spectators throughout the day of The Boat Races the fan zone at Furnivall Gardens, Hammersmith, featured bespoke elements developed by massive including a bar built from reclaimed wood, branded huts selling drinks and merchandise units and six impressive custom-build Beach Huts for VIP competition winners.

Emma Hibbert, Marketing Director at Adnams, said: “Our main objective was to bring the spirit of our home in Southwold to London for the day of The Boat Races, which was certainly delivered through everything in the Adnams Fan Park – from the rustic look and feel of the bar to the vibrancy of the beach huts.

 “We are really pleased to have worked with massive on this project and already can’t wait for the 2017 event!”

With a big screen streaming The Boat Races live and street food market on site, the Adnams fan park proved a popular location for Hammersmith residents, London revellers and tourists.

Save the Children

massive worked with the innovation team at Save The Children as they developed a new event proposition based around a popular children’s tv character.

Working with the team we were able to build on their ideas to develop 3 different executions. We delivered a look and feel for each execution and using our market insight and delivery expertise we modelled likely income and expenditure scenarios to assess and build business models for their preferred options.

Brownlee Tri

massive have worked with Professional Sports Group since 2013 on the Brownlee Tri supporting the production and logistics of their flag ship event.

Our in house delivery team work alongside PSG to provide production advice and management, CAD planning and production resource on the ground.

Alzheimer’s Research UK

We supported ARUK to develop their mass participation fundraising strategy and worked with them to develop and grow participation and income from their Walk to Defeat Dementia.

London Fashion Week SS16

massive worked with the team at Bacchus on London Fashion Week SS16, supporting on the planning and build of the outdoor activation at Golden Square in Soho, including sponsor liaison and LED screen, streaming live from the BFC Show Space and catwalk shows from around London.

CLIC Sargent

We supported the fundraising team to evaluate their first September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, deliver market insight, international learnings and delivered a set of recommendations to increase the impact, awareness and income of the campaign across their income streams.

Dolphin Energy Doha Dash

We worked with Professional Sports Group’s Middle East office on the Dolphin Energy Doha Dash event in Qatar for three years, since the event’s inauguration in 2013, supporting PSG’s in house event team to deliver race management and the production elements of the event.

John Tasker

Strategy Director

John has worked to create new fundraising campaigns and strategies for some of the UK’s largest charities and businesses.

He has experience in turning around declines in a number of events, and has worked on 8 of the UK’s 20 biggest fundraising projects, as Head of Events and Product Development for Cancer Research UK, he led the UK’s largest charity marketing and events team for over three years and developed 2 events which still deliver over £4m each year.

He most recently led on fundraising integration and strategy for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign as they merged to form Breast Cancer Now

James Kemp

Operations Director

James is an experienced project, production and operations director of mass participation events.

James’ ability to develop, deliver and present complex event plans has seen him produce a large breadth of fantastic participant and spectator experiences in sport, music and brand activation in a whole host of environments.

Working for over a decade on end to end event delivery James’ skills have been employed by some of the biggest agencies and events rights holders in the world, including Ride London, LOCOG, London Marathon, Limelight Sports, RPM and Professional Sports Group, to name a only a few.

Katie Heaton

Project Director

Katie is a skilled account and project director, having worked across the full spectrum of events from marketing and PR to on the ground delivery.

Working across sporting, hospitality and cultural events Katie has successfully delivered a wide range of programs from grassroots sporting tournaments through to £3m+ budget projects.

Having recently completed a four-year stint in the Middle East as Head of Events for Professional Sports Group, Katie has invaluable experience in client and stakeholder management from top-level directors through to crew and staffing management.

Danielle Davies

Project Coordinator

Having recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a First Class degree in Event Management Danni has already worked on a number of national and international events.

Working across the sports, corporate and music event sectors Danni has honed an outstanding attention to detail, motivated work ethic and positive attitude.

Alongside her studies, Danni played an integral role in the London 2012 Olympics, Tour de France Grand Depart and numerous cycling, triathlon and running events alongside the Massive team.

Kat has delivered insight and innovation projects for some of the UK’s biggest brands and charities.

She is passionate about helping organisations to really understand their audiences and build better products, events and communication strategies.

Her endless curiosity about consumer choices and creative approach to research, means she has been able to deliver unique insights that have informed strategic direction and successful product launches for a range of profit and not for profit clients that have included Barclaycard, EE, Scope, Walkers and M&C Saatchi

Claire Daniels

Innovation Consultant

Claire is an experienced innovator and passionate fundraiser, Claire has spent the past seven years developing and delivering fundraising events and campaigns for Cancer Research UK, working on Stand Up to Cancer, Events and Supporter Led Fundraising.

Claire is fascinated by consumer behaviour and finds opportunities to combine insight with strategic planning to successfully revitalise existing products as well as creating new income opportunities.

Liam Worthy

Operations Manager

Liam has nine years experience in the UK events industry delivering event operations of the highest quality for some of the biggest and most logistically complex sporting events.

From the Tour of Britain, Olympic Road Race & Time Trial, to Ride London, the Tour de France Grand Depart 2014 and most recently Velothon Wales, Liam has worked with agencies such as Limelight Sports, Threshold Sports, IMG and CSM.

Liam’s key skills include stakeholder management, route planning and safety, event logistics, workforce management, managing key contractors and producing and delivering volunteer training.

Jacq Ellis-Jones

Marketing Consultant

Jacq specialises in idea generation and strategic marketing planning for brands and mass participation events.

Her experience started with Shell, Diageo and AG Barr where Jacq developed and delivered award winning campaigns with event engagement at the heart of the strategy. Jacq then moved into the sports world working with Matthew Pinsent on a new sports drink and then went on to lead the marketing department at Limelight Sports. There she was involved in growing established mass participation sports events like Swimathon and launching the award winning, Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon which has generated £20M over the 7 years.

Her recent work has been with Marie Curie on the Great Daffodil Appeal which achieved growth from £7M to £8.3M under her strategic and campaign management and the relaunch and management of an e-commerce retail brand which is delivering 65% growth YOY.

Mary Hillier

Project Manager

Mary is a versatile and qualified events manager who has developed a strong operations and project management background in the corporate, public and live events sectors of the industry. Her experience has taught her to communicate effectively across large project teams with contractors and agencies alike, to ensure a joint approach is made to exceed client expectations and provide an excellent experience for all attendees.
